In February 2021, Development Services launched our Community Vision Statement Survey for Yavapai County that had over 900 responses within the three-month period it was open. In August of 2021 we launched four more Element Surveys including Dark Skies, Open Space, Food Sustainability, Water Resources and Cost of Development.
This link will take you to a variety of surveys for each of the Elements that will include a dashboard displaying the most current data collected from your responses. These dashboards have various ways to filter results by either Zip Code or Community name, you can select multiple zip codes or communities at once. These results were submitted by you, our Community members and we are truly appreciative of your participation in the Comprehensive Plan and the development of our great County.
If you know someone who may be interested, please forward this website link to your family, friends, and neighbors and have them click “Get Involved” to be added to our mailing list for upcoming meetings, new surveys.
- A comprehensive plan is a document that contains a shared community vision for where to grow and what to protect in the future. The Yavapai County Comprehensive Plan (Yavapai 2032) is primarily a land-use plan (blueprint), providing policy guidance about where growth is appropriate and what form it should take.
- The 2032 Comp Plan Update includes goals and policies for the following topic areas, described as "Elements" in the Plan, each with its own chapter. Land Use, Growth Areas, Transportation, Water Resources, Energy, Open Space, Environmental, and Cost of Development, and Implementation Elements.
- By incorporating these policies into one policy document for the whole county, the Development Services Department can administer and implement these policy protections more easily and effectively.
