At the June 7th Town Council meeting, Council Members voted to have the vacant Town Council seat go to election.
The Election will be held as a Special Election for one seat with a two-year term on November 8, 2022 at the same time as the General Election.
If you are interested in running for the vacant seat, please stop by Town Hall and pick up a candidate nomination packet. The time period to file candidate nomination petitions to appear on the ballot at the November 8th Election is June 11th to July 11th by 5:00 p.m.
A.R.S. § 9-232 (A) - Council, qualification of members: A person shall not be a member of a city or town council unless, at the time of the election, the person is eighteen years old, is a qualified elector residing within the city or town and has resided in the city or town for at least one year next preceding the election, or if an area has been annexed to the city or town for a period of less than one year next preceding the election has resided in such area for at least one year next preceding the election. If an annexed area is subject to the provisions of this subsection, a person may meet the residency requirements if the person has resided within the existing limits of the city or town for the one-year period.

June 11th: First day to file nomination papers
July 11th: Last day to file nomination papers by 5:00 p.m.
September 29th: Last day for write-in candidates to file
October 10th: Last day to register to vote
October 12th: Early voting begins
October 28th: Last day to request an early ballot by mail
November 4th: Last day to vote early in person
November 8th: ELECTION DAY
