The Town of Dewey-Humboldt's Community Outreach Coordinator is committed to involving the community in preserving the Town's culture and quality of life. Please let us know if you have any desire or interest to serve your community by becoming involved in any of the following programs.
Neighborhood Beautification Program
The Town is constantly recruiting volunteers for a variety of neighborhood clean-up and beautification projects. Volunteers are available to work with individual residents as well as organized groups, such as youth groups, church groups, university students, and businesses.
Inspector Ride Along
The inspector Ride Along Program is an opportunity for the residents to better understand what inspectors look at on a daily basis. It is the intent of this program to be a method of educating the public about the duties of an inspector.
The Community Conversation is a venue for citizens to meet as an informal group to discuss various topics that affect the Town. Ideas and suggestions from the meetings are passed on to the Town Council for consideration and assignment to Town staff.
Neighborhood Watch Program
The Yavapai County Sheriff's Department is recruiting Town residents to start or join a Neighborhood Watch, and learn what you can do to reduce your chances of becoming a crime victim. A Neighborhood Watch is easy to start and effective when implemented. By starting a Neighborhood Watch in your area, you are taking the first step towards making your home, your neighborhood, and your community a safer place to live.
